We opened Kids Korner in 1986 with the intent to carry on the legacy of my hard-working, devoted grandparents. We started with a handful of clothing lines, a couple of shoe lines, as well as toy lines, some of which we still carry today.

I always had the desire to own and operate a children’s boutique offering adorable clothing, shoes, and toys, and I'm proud to say that we are still here and thriving 34 years later!

Rhonda Welch

My love of retail began early. My grandparents operated a dry goods store and restaurant that they started in the 1920s. They began with a cafe from scratch selling hot dogs and hamburgers, later expanding to full service offering home-style cooking, and then a dry goods store.

I have fond memories, spending many hours with them watching how much they enjoyed working with their customers and seeing how important their customers were to them. These early memories impacted how I chose a career and lifestyle.

Vicki, Rhonda's daughter, is an integral part of the store, having worked with her since opening day 34 years ago. They work in tandem, carrying out all the responsibilities of a small business.
